Kuru Kururu successful in Youth Ensemble Programme

The East Bank Football Association (EBFA) successfully concluded its leg of the Guyana Football Federation’s Youth Ensemble Programme, ending an exciting youth competition that showcased the region’s emerging football talent across the Under-13 and Under-15 categories.
Kuru Kururu FC capped off an outstanding campaign by capturing both the Under-13 and
Under-15 titles, earning qualification for the National Championship. Timehri United FC and
Friendship All Stars FC, who finished as runners-up in the Under-13 and Under-15 divisions
respectively, also secured places in the national competition.
The Under-15 competition featured 27 matches, with 127 players participating and 96 goals
scored throughout the tournament. Brandon Bruce was named the division’s Most Valuable
Player (MVP), while Khadil Jaden Harry earned the Best Goalkeeper award after conceding
just seven goals. Kuru Kururu FC’s Teshawn Castillo finished as the leading goalscorer with an
impressive 11 goals.
In the Under-13 division, nine matches were contested involving 48 players, with teams
combining for 34 goals. Okel Morrison was named the Most Valuable Player, while Dokari
Robertson received the Best Goalkeeper award after conceding only four goals. The Golden
Boot was shared by Kuru Kururu FC’s Immanuel Reid and Timehri United FC’s Jeremiah
Straut, who each scored four goals during the competition.
The Youth Ensemble Programme, supported by FIFA, continues to provide young footballers
with meaningful competitive opportunities while strengthening the player development
pathway across Guyana. Through competitions such as these, the Guyana Football
Federation and its Regional Member Associations remain committed to identifying,
nurturing, and preparing the country’s most promising young talent for higher levels of
competition.
